To our Listeners
of all ages
One of our favorite sayings about the past is that “we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us.” How could cars, gears or Ferris wheels have been conceived of if the wheel hadn’t been invented? Look at all of the innovations and progress made possible by the discovery of electricity. Where would our understanding of the sun, moon and stars be without the invention of the telescope? And today we have a better appreciation of the rights of every human being because of the revolutionary thinkers of centuries past and our own founding fathers.
Through the adventures of Robin and her friends maybe you’ll imagine yourself in these moments, at these times. Perhaps these magical encounters – seeing how figures of the past faced their own unique circumstances – might arouse your own curiosity to dig deeper – to not simply accept things as they seem or as others say that they are, but to see for yourself, to ask questions, to explore, to understand. What do these moments say to and about ourselves and our world? How do we build on these achievements and look to make our own way in the world?
In bringing these many stories and personalities to life -- some famous, some not so well-known – we hope you find Robin’s Curious Travels to be both entertaining and stimulating. Although these podcast adventures were conceived for younger audiences, they are genuinely meant for people of all ages – because we are all continuously searching and growing.
Maybe you’ll even discover that the magic isn’t as much in the clock or Robin’s travels through time, but that these adventures stir the magic within each of us to strive to create our own moments.
Thank you for listening and, of course, we welcome your thoughts and feedback.
